  1. BingWen says:

Gen 3:6 Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Where was Adam when Eve negotiated against the serpent – and lost?
He was next to her because she handled him the fruit to eat.

Why was he silent and did not help her with the negotiation?
He was still distracted by her body and her beauty!
They could have won against the serpent in the negotiation!
Two is always better than one.

    PRINCIPLE:
We should not be distracted in our negotiation by the people in the room with us no matter how young and attractive they are. Suppliers vying for your business will send their best to maximize the advantage!

  2. BingWen says:

1 Thess 2:5 (New Living Translation) says “Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money! ”

However, whenever sales people say that they want to develop a relationship with you, that is exactly what they mean! They want to pretend to be your friends just to get more of your money! If they insist, then test their friendship! There are some sales people who are genuinely interested to be your friend.

How long will they remain your friend before insisting on some business to pay for their friendship?

Here is another biblical reference that shows that Abraham did not complete his negotiation with God for the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah because he did not negotiate to the end! (Nugget #55, Genesis 18v32)

“Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord.
“Look high and low; search throughout the city!
If you can find even one just and honest person,
I will not destroy the city. (Jeremiah 5v1 NLT)

  4. BingWen says:

Eze 4:12-15 And you shall eat it as barley cakes; and bake it using fuel of human waste in their sight.” Then the LORD said, “So shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them.” So I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Indeed I have never defiled myself from my youth till now; I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has abominable flesh ever come into my mouth.” Then He said to me, “See, I am giving you cow dung instead of human waste, and you shall prepare your bread over it.”

PRINCIPLE: Even if you are faced with shit, you can still negotiate for better shit!
God asked Ezekiel to use human shit to prepare his food but he managed to negotiate to use cow dung instead.
